MUNER unveils innovative Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering program in 2024

MUNER – Motorvehicle University of Emilia Romagna announces the introduction of its Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering program for 2024.

This innovative initiative includes a specialized summer school in Off-Highway Vehicle Design and a comprehensive curriculum integrated into the Master’s Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering, starting September 2024.

Since its launch in 2017, MUNER has become a beacon of excellence in automotive education, offering customised master’s programmes and graduating nearly 1000 students. With the support of the Emilia Romagna region, MUNER has consistently bridged academia and industry, preparing students for leadership roles in vehicle design, sustainable propulsion and manufacturing.

Recognising the importance of addressing climate change and the evolving needs of industry, MUNER is expanding its focus to include off-highway vehicles such as agricultural machinery. The Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering programme will provide specialised training in technical, scientific and agronomic aspects and will foster collaboration with global agricultural machinery manufacturers.

MUNER’s educational offer dedicated to these topics includes:

  • The Off-Highway Vehicle Engineering (OHVE) curriculum, integrated into the Master’s Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering (AAE) from the 2024-25 academic year, is designed for students who aspire to become design and manufacturing engineers capable of producing state-of-the-art off-highway vehicles. By equipping students with advanced skills in computer-aided engineering, fluid power actuation, vehicle dynamics and precision agriculture, the programme develops expertise in the design and development of high-tech off-highway vehicles. Delivered entirely in English, the curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of off-highway propulsion machines, electric drives, ground interaction, and off-highway control and testing methods.
