For students aiming a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of race cars.
The Racing Car Design (RCD) curriculum is part of the Master’s Degree in Advanced Automotive Engineering(AAE).
It is designed for students pursuing careers as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of race cars, with a special focus of fundamental and applied aerodynamics, advanced vehicle dynamics, light weight design and manufacturing of carbon fiber chassis and components.
It covers the main aspects of the vehicle frame system and race car architecture, with particular emphasis on the use of special materials and solutions. Special focus is also placed on the highly experimental nature of development activities and aerodynamic performance aspects.
The first semester of the first academic year is common to the other curricula of the Master’s Degree Course in Advanced Automotive Engineering and is held at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (Modena Campus).
Starting from the second academic year, all classes are held at the at the Dallara Academy (Dallara’s prestigious training centre, located in Varano De’ Melagari – PR).
