For students aiming a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high-performance propulsion systems.
For students aiming a career as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high-performance propulsion systems, with a focus on Internal Combustion Engines and hybrid propulsion systems.
Two curricula offer special views on powertrain development (Modena Campus) and engine control (Bologna Campus).
- The first specialization, held at the Bologna campus, is targeted at students pursuing careers as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high performance propulsion systems with a focus on internal combustion engines and hybrid propulsion systems. It focuses on internal combustion engine and hybrid powertrain modeling and control, powertrain testing, calibration and homologation.
This specialization provides the core competencies related to high performance vehicle powertrain systems, with a specific view on engine control that is different from the specialization offered at the Modena Campus. The first semester of the first academic year is common to the other curricula of the Master in Advanced Automotive Engineering and is held at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (Modena Campus). Starting from the second semester of the first academic year, all courses will be held at the Department of Industrial Engineering (Bologna Campus).
- The second specialization, held at the Modena Campus, is targeted at students who wish to pursue careers as design and manufacturing engineers, experts in the development of high performance propulsion systems with a focus on internal combustion engines and hybrid propulsion systems. It focuses on the design and modeling of high performance combustion systems with particular emphasis on FEM and CFD calculations.
This specialization provides the core competencies related to high performance vehicle powertrain systems, with a specific view on powertrain development that is different from the specialization offered at the Bologna Campus. The course is held entirely at the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari (Modena Campus). The first semester of the first academic year is common to the other curricula of the Master’s Degree Course in Advanced Automotive Engineering.
