More Forumla Student success: the Unimore team wins at the Bugatti Rimac test track in Velika Gorica, in Croazia

Following their recent triumph in Austria, Unimore’s MMR Hybrid team has once again demonstrated its excellence in the Formula Student competition. This time the team claimed victory at the event, which took place from 20-25 August at the Bugatti Rimac test track in Velika Gorica, Croatia.

Competing with a hybrid vehicle powered by a biofuel (E85) combustion engine, the team achieved outstanding results in eight different challenges. For the first time, they managed to secure a podium finish in every event, leading to their overall victory.

Massimo Borghi, Director of the Department of Engineering Enzo Ferrari, emphasised that this victory is a clear indication of the quality and commitment of Unimore’s students and teachers.

Matteo Giacopini, the team’s faculty advisor, shared his thoughts on the success:

“This incredible result is a testament to the hard work we’ve put in, not just in the last few months, but over the years, to build a solid, well-organised project. The team has been fantastic this year in realising the potential we had”.

The MMR Hybrid team’s consistent performance highlights not only their technical expertise, but also the strong organisational foundation they have built over the years. This is their second consecutive win in the Formula Student series and cements their position as a top contender in the field.
